I'm Moichel
As we approach the Yomim Noraim, I just wanted to let all those who downloaded U'Shmuel B'Korei Sh'mo without paying that I'm moichel. On the other hand, if you wanted to send a check for $15 to Shirei Shmuel I wouldn't reject it.

Besides, what's your problem? Does it make you feel good to bash my CD? On the day before Rosh Hashanah? Maybe you need some psychological help?
And, you can rest assured that I couldn't care less whether you do or don't like it. Plenty of people do, some don't. That's the way it is with music.

1700 is not bad at all for a CD with relatively unknown singers.

It isn't bad but so many more people have the CD through file sharing. As I've written many times before, I may not like it but that's the way it is. I am happy that people enjoy the music; that was the point of my project.

wow, it looks like Carly forgot what month it is. Anyway, Mo, I think its mighty big of you to be mochel. Most people have an easier time forgiving personal transgressions than financial ones.
As a fan of the CD and a long time reader, I'd like to wish you and yours a Shana Tova and Ktiva Vechatima Tova.
P.S. so, nu, when's the new CD coming out?

I printed 2500. I've sold somewhere between 1700 and 2000, and given away over 100.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think one can be "moichel" gezaila. I think one has to return/repay the item AND request mechilah.
Do you personally know this carlebachian dude? Nasty...
Anyway "k'tiva v'chatima tova" - have a happy, safe, and healthy year for you and your family.

Carlbachian,
not very carlbachian of you.

Sure you can be moichel gezeilah. You forgive the debt and allow the person to keep the item. That takes care of the bein adam lachavero aspect. The guy will still have to deal with the bein adam lamakom aspect, though. Return is what's necessary if it's not forgiven.
