To I believe quote R. N Lamm we have the emunah of chachamim but we don't have emunah bchachamim. Very important difference.

Sorry. I don't buy it.
This is an admirtable, though transparent stop-gap measure from RYH to stem the horror once again caused by our unconscious "gedolim" and the sonei yisroel to whom they irresponsibly abdicate their authority.
The volume of apologetics volunteered to excuse the actions of unworthy leaders who play fast and loose with people's bitachon, including some provided in RYH's article, is suspicious.
Such great people, I'd think, shouldn't need people to apologize and explain their decisions. That's exactly what RYH is doing here.
Bombarded by people? Past retirement? Live simply? None of these are an excuse for the ramifications of their decisions.
