Benching Gomel. A Deep Halachic Question

Does one bench gomel when traveling from Mars or Jupiter? Technically, one might not be crossing over a body of water. I'm just not sure.

Because of the frequency of the trips and low level of risk involved (at least for them), they could never be obligated to bentch gomel for travel from Mars to Jupiter, one way or round trip. You would only make it, if you travel from Jupiter to Mars but not vice versa! Everyone knows that. C’mon that’s such a Gimme!
The real questions are: are you allowed to daven on the flying saucer and if so, at what time? Are the zmanim the same as Earth, Mars, or Pluto? How do you get your shel rosh to stay on during the flight?

Of course you would make Birchas Hagomel. After all, You'd be crossing the "mayim ha'elyonim"!

According to the Gemara(BT Brachot 54b):
“Four [groups] must give thanks - seafarers, travelers in the wilderness, one who was ill and then was cured, and one who was imprisoned in jail and came out.”

I would posit that Outer Space definitely qualifies as "the wilderness"...

Is this a practical question regarding the WQ?

Would you be returning the same day or will it be an overnight trip?
