Tu B'Shvat Higiah

Sue me, but I'm not a big fan of dates or figs. In fact, I doubt that I've ever finished one in my entire life and, to this day, I'm still not sure which is which. Here I am at the source on Tu B'Shvat and I'm eating Chinese tonight. Go figure.

    we used to get something called "bukser" which was dried carob. it was a real mesiras nefesh to eat that. I remember my Dad eating it and thinking what a tzadik he is.

    I'm so glad you said that! I don't know the difference between a fig and a date either, and I've always been a little embarrassed about that...

    C'mon, you mean you never heard this one: You would DATE a Tamar, not a T'einah. Also, Tamar is the tall, thin one, figs are the short chubby ones...
